Colourful liner is the new trend this summer and I love it! That’s not to say that it isn’t pricey searching for these specific gel liner colours. I’ve been thinking about investing in “Anastasia Beverly Hills waterproof creme color” for the past few weeks (link below) , however in the mean time I still wanted to achieve graphic , colourful liner. This post is about making your very own gel liner. This idea is perfect for people on a budget or who just don’t see the point in buying a several different pots of coloured eye liner (which are hard to find by the way).
Anastasia Beverly Hills – waterproof creme color
Firstly you will need to choose the liner colour you want to use in an eyeshadow form. You need to scrape some of this eyeshadow into a Lid or a palette using a spooly or whatever is handier. The eyeshadow is going to be the pigment for the gel liner. I chose yellow.
Next you need to mix your eyeshadow with a liquid specific to gel liners. A good one to use is Inglots Duraline. It’s purpose is to turn eyeshadow into a gel form specifically ,however, at only €12 is a really good investment as is also brings hardened or stiff gel liner back to life! It states that it works best on inglot eyeshadows but I mixed it with sleek eyeshadow and it worked just as well. I’ll leave a link to where you can get it below.

You can also use other liquids such as Mac fix plus spray for a more liquid liner rather than gel. The only problem with this is Mac is not animal cruelty free or vegan so if you are vegan or against animal testing , Inglots Duraline would probably suit you better.
At this point all you need to do is mix both together until it’s a gel liner form. Just apply it as you would normal liner and you are done. Black eyeshadow works just as well it doesn’t have to be colourful. One thing to remember is only use one drop of Duraline as you don’t want your eyeliner too watery.
Hopefully this helps some of you achieve your summer look for less. I’ve left a link to my Instagram below where you can see the end result. As usual if you have any questions leave a comment below and I’ll get back to you. Enjoy your D.I.Y gel liner!
